PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT BEGINS AT 8 PM! (Disregard start time listed in printed program)
What better way to kick off 19 years of Litquake, than to celebrate the West Coast's largest independent literary festival, at the elegant chandeliered University Club, atop Nob Hill overlooking the city and the Bay. Mingle with authors and other members of the lit scene. Take advantage of the hosted wine bar. Savor the tasty catered menu, and pick up your copy of the Festival Guide to plan your Litquake week. Gaze out over the twinkling lights, take another sip of your beverage, and say softly to yourself, "What a city, what a literary scene. Why...why are we so damn lucky?" Music from Joshua Raoul Brody at the grand piano. Dress attire requested. $20 adv / $25 door
