Author and activist Virgie Tovar (You Have the Right to Remain Fat) shares the stage with bosom buddy Daniel Handler (AKA Lemony Snicket), author of the recent All the Dirty Parts: A Novel, about a teenage boy and his avid, age-appropriate urges. According to Bitch Magazine, Tovar’s book of essays "will embolden fat people to simply live” and calls for an overhaul of our cultural standards of beauty. Together they discuss body image and sex, and the challenges of writing about them. FREE, $5-10 suggested donation
