Mercilee Jenkins is a playwright/performance artist, published poet and occasional fiction writer.  Her poem, Peonies in a Pandemic was recently published in the San Francisco Chronicle. Her solo performance piece, My First Boss, was presented at the Marsh International Solo Performance Festival in October.  She is currently part of the  3 Girls Theatre writing team working on a pandemic radio play whodunit to be serialized in 2021.   Her one act play, Winning is published in The Best American Short Plays 2014-2015. Her short story, “The Day Mel Tormé Died” was published in the anthology, Sisters Born, Sisters Found.  She is currently working on a novel entitled A Safe Distance from Home.
